The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing direction, either directly or indirectly, and to ensure that all repairs and maintenance are performed in compliance and with the Company’s safety and maintenance standards, and in compliance with all federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, train, and develop a team of technicians
  • Ensure Safe Work Methods are always followed
  • Schedule and direct workflow through shop; Assist technicians with difficult repairs.
  • Coordinates outside fleet repairs to ensure maximum equipment uptime. Coordinates after - hours breakdown repairs with Volvo Action Service or Michelin Oncall.
  • Reviews completed maintenance work for timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and quality;
    Ensure a high level of employee productivity.
  • Maintain and balance inventories; Accurately record vehicle history.
  • Perform quality inspections/ audits on trucks and trailers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of proven work experience on Customer Service activities.
  • Proficiency with MS office- emphasis on Excel skills.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in customer service and administration.
  • Excellent selling (customer first), negotiation and communication skills, prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
